Promote ADR system: Iyer
Kochi, July 25 | Indian Express

TO achieve faster disposal of cases at lesser cost, there should be a national movement to promote alternative dispute resolution system, said Justice VR Krishna Iyer. Inaugurating the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) centre set up by the Centre for Public Policy Research in Kochi on Saturday Krishna Iyer said that everybody in the realm of justice should come forward to promote ADR system.

It would be better to bring in a piece of legislation to make sure that the advocates will undertake cases only if they could not be solved through ADR centres, he said. The Lok Adalat organised by Kerala Legal Service Authority (KELSA) and Mediation Centre of High Court are already there to provide ADR service.
